Ham and Cheese Tortellini

Baby Sweet Peas

Heavy Whipping Cream

Cheese
shredded (Swiss, white cheddar, Monterey Jack or pepper Jack)
Salt and Pepper
to taste
Instructions
Melt butter in a large skillet on medium-high heat.
Add the onions and cook until softened and golden brown.
Add the ham and continue to cook until lightly browned.
Add the chicken broth, pasta and seasonings.
Stir well to combine and bring to a boil.
Cover, then reduce heat and simmer for 12 minutes until the pasta is tender.
Stir in the peas and cream.
Remove from heat, then stir in 1⁄2 cup of cheese until well combined.
Top with remaining cheese.
Place pasta in an oven-safe pan and broil until the cheese is golden and bubbly, approximately 3 minutes.
