Mashed Potatoes

Instructions
  1. Place potatoes in a large pot and fill it with enough water to cover the potatoes by at least 1 inch. Stir in the salt.
  2. Place the pot over high heat and bring to a boil.
  3. Cook potatoes until tender, approximately 12-15 minutes. Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot.
  4. Add the butter and a splash of milk. Mash the potatoes until smooth with a potato masher.
  5. Add milk to desired creaminess. Stir in sour cream and place in a dish to serve.
